BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDAMelbourne Police Chief David Gillespie took the oath ceremony for the eight newly hired members.

“Congratulations to everyone who has taken the next step in their careers, demonstrating the dedication, leadership and commitment that strengthens our department. You have earned this moment through your hard work and dedicated service to our community,” a Melbourne Police spokesman said.

“To our newly sworn-in officers, welcome to the team! We are excited to see the positive impact you will make as you continue the honor and tradition of service. Your journey is just beginning and we are here to support you every step of the way.”

“Thank you to everyone who joined us on this special day and to our community for your continued support, which motivates us to serve with integrity and pride. Here’s to the future and all the great things!”
