Wild Stats Show Baltimore Ravens’ Derrick Henry Expects More

Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry has been an absolute threat this season, and the scary thing is that he may just be getting started.

Henry already leads the NFL with 946 yards and nine touchdowns while averaging an incredible 6.5 yards per carry through his first eight games, but he still hasn’t entered his peak time of year.

Fantasy Life’s Ian Hartitz posted some pretty crazy stats on Henry that show how the linebacker’s average yards per carry has actually increased every month throughout his career.

This is actually supported by Henry’s performance in 2024, as Henry gained six yards per attempt in September and posted an impressive 7.1 yards per attempt in October.

Does the four-time Pro Bowler have at least more in stock for November and beyond?

It has truly been a remarkable campaign for Henry, who turned 30 last January and, due to his age and apparent decline, was considered by many to be a dangerous player on the free agent market.

Last year, in his final season with the Tennessee Titans, Henry put up a respectable 1,167 yards and nine scores but averaged just 4.2 yards per carry, indicating that the veteran rusher was starting to tire.

Obviously, that wasn’t the case, as Henry is currently enjoying perhaps his best time in the NFL.

The University of Alabama product was selected by the Titans in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft. He led the league in rushing yards and rushing touchdowns in back-to-back seasons in 2019 and 2020, peaking at 2,027 yards and 17 scores in the latter campaign.

Henry played a key role in turning the Ravens into the league’s best offense. Now only if Baltimore’s defense follows suit.

The Ravens are 5-3.
