But his comments ended up offending some fans, who said his words were “offensive” to women and female voters in particular. As a result, Cuban, 66, took to social media to apologize and clarify what he meant by his statement.

“When I said this during the interview, I didn’t quite get it the way I thought I would,” Cuban wrote on X (formerly Twitter) on Friday, November 1st. “I apologize to anyone who felt offended or upset. Based on my response, it was not about Trump voters, supporters or former employees.”

“And I tuned in to a 6-second sound bite. No excuses. I can’t record every interview,” he admitted, before adding: “My skin is pretty thick.”

But then Cuban addressed the level of hate he receives online as he faces backlash since endorsing the vice president. Kamala Harris.

“However, I am concerned that many comments or reports in the media, whether for or against me, contain some degree of abuse. Not only here. But everywhere,” he said.

“I don’t blame anyone. We are who we are,” he continued. “We hope that in a week things will change at least a little.”

Cuban, like several other celebrities, is increasingly speaking out about politics as the presidential election approaches.

After publicly supporting Harris last month, Cuban insisted during a podcast appearance late last month: “Donald Trump is a threat.”

“If you don’t think Donald Trump is a threat, you don’t think this is the most important election,” Cuban said at the time.

Election Day will take place on Tuesday, November 5th.
