Sydney Sweeney’s Homes: Here’s Where the Rising Star Owns Property

Sydney Sweeney’s homes are a testament to her talent and determination. The Spokane, Washington native seems to be everywhere these days, with a list of roles spanning genres – rom-com (Anyone but you), action (Madame Web), horror(Irreproachable), and soon a biopic (an as-yet-untitled film about female boxer Christy Martin). However, before she found success, Sweeney and her family moved to Los Angeles when she was 13 years old in hopes of starting her career, but things got off to a rocky start. “We lived in the same room,” she said in Hollywood Reporter profile of the motel where they lived. “My mom and I shared a bed, and my dad and little brother shared a couch” Today, Sweeney’s fortunes have changed and she has used her newfound wealth to help her family. She paid off her mom’s mortgage, brought her grandparents to Italy to visit her on set, and bought her uncle’s dream boat for the family lake she shared with Glamor. “I come from a family where I saw my parents lose everything and I’m horrified by it,” she said, referring to her parents’ bankruptcy. “This fear will always be instilled in me. I know how to save money. I don’t just go out and spend money. I like investing. Westwood Tudor House

After spending several years in Los Angeles, Sweeney still struggled to make it big. She had cameo roles in shows such as Gray’s Anatomy And Pretty Little Liars, but it wasn’t until 2018 that her career really started to take off after starring in a Netflix series. Everything sucks! and a small but memorable part about The Handmaid’s Tale. Then, in 2019, she landed a role in Euphoria opposite Zendaya, Hunter Schafer and other up-and-coming stars, catapulting her to new levels of fame. Two years later, Sweeney paid $3 million for her first home, a historic Tudor-style home in Westwood. “I always thought that when I turned 18, I’d have all this money and I’d buy my parents’ house and put it back together again. And I never could and never did,” she said. A funicular that helps transport guests from the bottom of the hill on which it is located to the front door. Sweeney rightly calls this charming house “Snow White’s castle.”

Family house for generations

The following year, Sweeney reportedly bought back her generation’s family home, which she revealed during an episode of the series. The Kelly Clarkson Show. “My great-grandmother had this beautiful house, a sweet two-bedroom house that they lived in,” she said. “My grandmother was born here, my mother was born here, and then when the kids got older they built another house on the property.” Sweeney explained that after her great-grandfather passed away and her great-grandmother got older, they simply couldn’t afford to hold on to the property any longer. That’s when White Lotus the star decided to intervene. “Last year I called the owners and said, ‘I want to buy my great-grandmother’s house back.’ She did just that, and now, as she shared with Clarkson, she has better neighbors. “My grandmother still lives next door, so I’m neighbors with my grandmother now,” she said, referring to her grandmother. Bel Air Estate

In 2023, Sweeney paid $6.2 million for a renovation property in Bel Air. The 1930s estate exudes old-school Hollywood glamor and features a 4,477-square-foot mansion located on 1.25 acres. Sweeney reportedly won the residence in a bidding war. It was last sold in 1984 and was previously owned by the son of Hollywood screenwriter Delmer Daves, who rose to fame during Hollywood’s golden age in the 40s and 50s. The two-story home boasts five bedrooms and four bathrooms and is currently covered in a web of resilient vines; there is also a separate guest house and swimming pool, as well as a (currently) overgrown garden. “We’ll fix it as much as we can without damaging anything,” Sweeney said. Sweeney’s latest property purchase includes six bedrooms and eight bathrooms in 7,720 square feet, a 330-gallon aquarium, a 520-bottle wine room, a chef’s kitchen, a home gym and a game room. Photos of the hotel show a large infinity pool with a swim-up bar and adjacent spa, as well as a spacious back terrace surrounded by tall palm trees. There also appears to be a private boat launch.
