Ruto is the most approachable president – Duale

Environment Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale has described President William Ruto as the most approachable head of state he has ever worked with.

Speaking in an interview on Citizen TV on Wednesday, Duale said he was privileged to work with the late President Mwai Kibaki, the fourth President Uhuru Kenyatta and now Ruto.

“I worked with the late President Kibaki, a very good gentleman, I worked with President Uhuru, I was his Majority Leader for eight years, I am now serving as President Ruto, President Ruto is the most approachable president,” Duale said.

Duale further noted that Ruto listens to everyone and gives everyone the opportunity to convince him of what they are trying to convey.

The CC said the President is calling everyone and acting on what he called zero grounds, adding that he (Ruto) cannot be impeached.

Duale added that the President also gives people the opportunity to convince the cabinet on any issue they have and if they can convince the cabinet, they will get their way.

“President Ruto listens to every member of his cabinet and what he says, even to me, Adan, if you convince me well, if you convince the cabinet well, he listens,” Duale said.

“He (Ruto) is operating from scratch, so he will not be impeached. When you are a leader, always start from scratch so that if you fall, you won’t get hurt.”

Duale is one of Ruto’s close allies, and their relationship dates back to before 2013, when the Jubilee party came to power.

The CC has always had a strong friendship with the President.

The President always called him his faithful friend and said that he could count on Duale any day and any time.

In one of the President’s past speeches attributed to Duala, he said that he was truly proud to be a friend of Duala because he taught him loyalty.
