VOTE: The area’s best football helmet between down to Manatee and ODA. You decide the winner

Last week we posted fans to allow fans to vote on which high school football team in Sarasota County and Manatee County has the best helmet.

Well, the results are in.

After a week of voting, Out-of-Door Academy claimed the title for best lid in Sarasota County by taking 39% of the vote ahead of Booker with 19% and Venice with 17%.

In, Manatee County, Manatee ran away with the vote for best helmet with 55% followed by Lakewood Ranch with 17%.

We could leave it there but that would mean we have two winners and we are all about championships so we will again pose the question: Which team has the best helmet in Sarasota and Manatee counties?

So this is a showdown between ODA and Manatee. Feels a little like David vs. Goliath as far as school size. Voting will run through Tuesday, election day, at 10 am when a winner will be crowned.
