Drew Carey gets angry after contestant says her time in Los Angeles was ‘hard’

The price is right Host Drew Carey couldn’t help but laugh on a recent episode of the long-running game show when a contestant described her time in Los Angeles as “tough.”

A contestant named Katie appeared on the show on October 16 and was called out from the studio audience in Contestants Row. After winning the pricing game, Katie took to the stage to compete in the Cliff Hangers game, where a trip to London was on the line.

“Welcome to the big city, Katie,” Carey told the eager contestant. The price is right films its episodes at Haven Studios in Glendale, California.

“Thank you,” Katie replied. “It was hard!”

Carey laughed and even covered the microphone to hide his cackling.

“This traffic is too much,” Katie continued.

“Bright lights, big city,” Carey added.

After coming to his senses, Carey introduced Katie to the game Cliff Hangers, where a hand-drawn climber climbs a mountain based on how far the contestant falls short of paying for a prize. If the competitor misses too much, it could cause the climber to fall off the edge of the cliff.

Luckily for Katie, her guesses were correct and she won the game and went on vacation to another big city – London, England.

“She was FUN. we loved her,” one fan wrote on The price is right Instagram page.

“Oh my God, how fun! I LOVE Drew’s laugh!!!!” said another.

“I just love Drew’s laugh lol!” one viewer commented.

“Drew usually makes one-liners like, ‘Welcome to Glendale.’ This lady really surprised him,” wrote another.

Another added: “I had the pleasure of meeting Katie and her husband in line. She had been on the show several times and thought she would NEVER get called on. God, we were so excited to hear her name, cheer her on and scream when she won a trip to London!! »

Katie herself responded to the video on Facebook, explaining why she called her trip to Glendale “tough.”

“It was hard because the first day we arrived, Grapevine was busy with road construction and we almost missed the show,” she shared. “We were so lucky to be able to spend time there, meet some amazing people and enjoy the excitement for every single person that came to Come On Down.” I hope everyone takes the time to go and have a great time.”
