After losing ground at the top of the Motsepe Foundation Championship table last time out, both Upington City and Durban City will be looking to get back to winning ways in round nine of the South African First Division this weekend.

Upington City, who suffered a 2-1 defeat at Orbit College last weekend, face Cusrick Stars at Mxolisi Dickie Jacobs Stadium on Saturday.

As a result of the defeat, Upington City dropped to 3rd place in the table with 14 points after eight matches played.

Elsewhere, 2nd placed Durban City will face the University of Pretoria at Chatsworth Stadium on Saturday, aiming to close the gap on top of the table Milford City. The club formerly known as Maritzburg United will head into their next match following a 2-1 defeat to Black Leopards.

Log leaders Milford will then again target back-to-back wins in the Motsepe Foundation Championship this weekend when they face Baroka at Global Park on Saturday.

Milford recorded a convincing 3-0 win over Leruma United last time out, which followed a surprise 3-0 defeat to Orbit College on October 19.

Milford currently lead the Motsepe Foundation Championship with 17 points from eight matches played this season.
