Woman arrested after unprovoked attack on toddler at Perth shopping center

A woman has been arrested after allegedly attacking a young child in an unprovoked attack at a Perth shopping center yesterday.

The two-year-old girl was in her mother’s arms when they were approached by a stranger at a shopping complex in East Victoria Park, Nine reports.

Surveillance footage shows the woman, identified as 21-year-old Pamila-Ray Jetta, allegedly hitting the child with her right hand before fleeing the scene.

A worker at a nearby store told Nine she heard her mother scream as customers rushed to their aid.

As a result of the incident, the girl was left with facial injuries.

Jetta was taken into custody this morning.
