Illegal buildings demolished

Ludhiana: Continuing the fight against illegal construction, municipal corporation (MC) on Tuesday took action against four illegal structures in Tajpur road. Of these, two under-construction buildings have been demolished and two others have been sealed by the construction department of the MK office in Zone B. Assistant Town Planner (ATP) Zone B Davinder Singh said that regular campaigns are being carried out against illegal construction. the owners failed to get approval for the building plans from the civic body,” he said. The structure, built on land originally leased for agricultural use, was demolished following an investigation and a demolition notice. Despite some local dissatisfaction, authorities insisted that the demolition was in line with the Chief Minister’s directive to demolish illegal structures on government land.
