Women’s hockey ranked eighth in Division III preseason poll

The Hamilton College Continentals are ranked eighth in the USCHO.com preseason poll of the top 15 2024-25 Division III women’s hockey players, which was released Monday, Oct. 21.

Hamilton finished last season with a 16-7-6 record. The Continentals played in the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) championship finals for the second year in a row and earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Championships. Hamilton defeated Nazarene University 2-1 in overtime in the first round, but lost to Adrian College in the quarterfinals.

Continentals return 2024 NESCAC Rookie of the Year as goaltender Teagan Brown ’27who finished with a 1.27 goals-against average, .946 save percentage and five shutouts in 20 starts. Lydia Bullock ’26 – the forward is the top offensive scorer with 15 points with six goals and nine assists. Hamilton will have 21 players returning to its squad for the 2023-24 season.

The Continentals will play nine games against teams included in the preseason poll. Hamilton opens the 2024-25 schedule with two conference matchups against No. 4 Middlebury College at Russell Sage Rink on Nov. 15 and 16.
