FAIRFIELD, Conn. — An unnamed Bridgeport man became $100,000 richer this week after receiving a winning lottery ticket purchased in Fairfield, the Connecticut Lottery announced.

On Monday, the man claimed the winning CASH5 ticket purchased from the News Express on Tunxis Hill Road.

The Connecticut Lottery releases partial winner information as a public record, officials said.

In a betting game where the bet costs $1, the top prize is $100,000. You can add a “Kicker” to your bet for $0.50.

Draws take place every night and overall odds vary depending on how many numbers are matched and whether a kicker is added.
