THE WHARF REVUE will hold its final show at QPAC

The Wharf Revue will return to the Queensland Performing Arts Center (QPAC) Theater from 11 to 16 February 2025 for its final show ever!

The Wharf Revue: The End Of The Wharf As We Know It brings some of the world’s most loved – or despised – politicians and public figures to Brisbane for the last time to showcase their amazing talents in a hilarious production full of skits, skits and musical numbers.

In Election Year, no side of politics is safe from ridicule in The Wharf Revue’s swan song, which features past and present political figures including Keating, Howard, Gillard, Abbott, Lambie, Hanson, Bandt, Dutton and Albo. .

After twenty-five years in the harsh and cut-throat political spotlight, The Wharf Revue team has decided to retire from public life.

“It’s an opportunity to spend more time with family,” a Wharf Revue spokesman said.

“At the end of the day, it’s about the need for renewal. “We’ll do the final term to get as much super done as we can and then try to do some consulting work or appear on Survivor – look, it’s too early to tell, but it’s been an honor to serve the Australian people.”

Written by Jonathan Biggins, Drew Forsyth and Philip Scott, who also star in the series with Mandy Bishop and David Whitney, there will be more laughs than question time in Parliament when Cutter gets the floor to rant about crocodiles.

Since its inception in the late 20th century, The Wharf Revue has had no shortage of inspiration in the political landscape over the years. Politicians at home and abroad continue to provide content you couldn’t actually make up. In true Australian fashion, The Wharf Revue has dedicated decades to the worthy cause of ridiculing these “leaders” of the world.

In 2025, The Wharf Revue will be on a high, even if politics are at an all-time low, giving meaning to the phrase, “If you don’t laugh, you’ll cry”!

In previous years, The Wharf Revue has produced a long list of colorful performances with appropriate titles such as Finding Albanese, Pennies From Kevin and 2024’s hilarious Pride in Prejudice, giving them a loyal following. End of the Jetty as We Know It promises to showcase the edgy style of comedy that has made them such a favorite among Australians, whether they follow politics or not.

This event is part of QPAC 40, celebrating 40 years of curiosity, inclusion, collecting and storytelling.

Tickets for the final season of QPAC’s Wharf Revue are on sale now at qpac.com.au or call 136 246.
