A woman has been arrested and charged after a man was stabbed in the back in the Bass Hill subdivision in Sydney’s south-west.

A man has been taken to hospital after being stabbed in the Bass Hill subdivision in Sydney’s south-west on Monday evening.

The 60-year-old man was found with a stab wound to his back at a house in Beatrice Street at around 8.40pm.

“He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Liverpool Hospital in a stable condition,” NSW Police said.

A 43-year-old woman was arrested at the station and taken to Bankstown Police Station.

She has since been charged with negligent wounding (DV) and violating an AVO prohibition/restriction.

The woman was refused bail to appear at Bankstown Local Court on Tuesday.
