Star Bucs WR Chris Godwin crashed out of bounds against Ravens

Star Bucs WR Chris Godwin crashed out of bounds against Ravens

Monday night’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers football game against the Baltimore Ravens at Raymond James Stadium started well. Mike Evans caught a touchdown pass from Baker Mayfield for the 100th touchdown reception of his career.

The Buccaneers stopped the Ravens and capitalized on a field goal to take a 10-0 lead. Baltimore then scored 34 straight points to lead 34–10 late in the third quarter. To make matters worse, star receiver Mike Evans left the contest early in the game with a hamstring injury.

Although the night went from bad to worse as the Buccaneers continued to give up points on defense and struggle on offense, a late push to victory would ultimately hurt them the most. Three touchdown passes by Rachaad White and Bucky Irving cut Tampa Bay’s lead to 41-31, giving them hope with the ball in their possession with less than two minutes remaining.

Mayfield connected with Chris Godwin, who was tackled and remained down. The cart drove onto the field and Godwin was put in a cast on his left leg.

The Buccaneers lost two of their best receivers and two of their best players in Monday night’s brutal loss. To make matters worse, the game effectively ended with 41 seconds left when Godwin was injured.
