Adelaide weather forecast for Tuesday 22 October.

Adelaide weather forecast for Tuesday 22 October.

According to the latest forecasts released by the Bureau of Meteorology, Adelaide residents should expect changing weather conditions over the coming days with increasing cloud cover and possible showers in some regions.

Today’s high will be 24 degrees. Adelaide is expected to see a mostly sunny morning for the rest of Tuesday, with clouds increasing as the day progresses. There is a chance of light rain in the evening, with precipitation amounts expected to range from 0 to 1 mm. The chance of rain is estimated at 30%. Winds will shift from south to southwest at 15 to 25 km/h, then shift from west to southwest at midday, then shift from southeast to southwest in the late afternoon.

The city is forecast to experience similar weather conditions on Wednesday, October 23, with a maximum temperature of 21 degrees after a low of 13. The day promises to be sunny with a continued slight chance of showers. Winds are expected to increase and become southwesterly, with wind speeds ranging from 20 to 30 km/h.

On Thursday, October 24, partly cloudy with a chance of rain of at least 10%. The air temperature varies from 11 to 20 degrees. The wind will remain predominantly from the south and southwest at a speed of 15–25 km/h, with a slight decrease to 15–20 km/h and a shift from south to southeast in the evening.

A sea wind warning was issued for the lower southeast coast on Wednesday, with strong winds expected.

The weather change is largely due to a band of low pressure moving through eastern South Australia today and crossing into the far northeast by Wednesday morning. This movement is expected to be followed by a cold front that will impact southeastern coastal waters late Wednesday. Subsequently, a new high pressure system will approach from the south on Thursday and Friday, further impacting weather conditions.

Across South Australia, isolated showers will occur in western areas, with the potential to spread to parts of the south today. The region will experience winds from northeast to north with above-average temperatures, followed by a new shift from southwest to southeast that will bring cooler temperatures following this change.

Scattered showers will continue in the west and south tomorrow, but are expected to be mainly confined to southern coastal areas by the evening, with fresh south-westerly and south-easterly winds throughout the day. Coastal areas will experience below-average temperatures, while northern and northeastern areas may experience above-average temperatures.

Scattered light showers are expected across the southern agricultural zone by Thursday, tapering off to the southern coasts and ridges in the afternoon. Later in the day, winds will ease and temperatures will mostly remain below average except in the far north where they could rise to slightly above average.
