Mason woman killed in Hamilton shooting, coroner and police reports show

HAMILTON, Ohio (WXIX) – Hamilton police are investigating a homicide that happened Friday night.

Sara Guerrero, 32, of Mason, died that night at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, according to the Hamilton County Coroner’s Office.

FOX19 NOW received the initial report from Hamilton Police on Monday.

The report said the shooting happened at a residence in the 100 block of Franklin Street at 6:50 p.m.

Police initially said Guerrero suffered a gunshot wound in a felonious assault.

According to 911 calls, several people reported the shooting but did not know who shot the 32-year-old man.

Dispatcher 1: “Where is the man who shot her?”

Caller 1: “I don’t know, I just know that she was shot – I don’t know how. They told me to call 911.”

One of the victim’s family members was in the house when he heard the gunshot.

Dispatcher 2: – Okay, what’s going on?

Caller 2: “My niece just got shot in the house.”

Dispatcher 2: “Was she shot inside the house? Who shot her?

Caller 2: “I don’t know. I heard this big old bang and they told me to call 911.”

Another caller reported that the woman’s boyfriend was upstairs trying to keep her awake.

The suspect is not listed in the report.

Hamilton police say they will release more information at a later date.
