An employee sent a photo of his butt after his boss demanded sick leave.

An employee shocked his boss by sending a photo of his buttocks as proof of health, raising concerns about workplace decorum and possible repercussions.

In a surprising incident, an employee recently revealed on social media that he sent his manager a photo of his butt as proof of his health after facing questions about sick leave. An employee asked his manager to take time off work because of severe hemorrhoids that made it difficult for him to stand for long periods of time.

Upon hearing this, the manager insisted on obtaining legitimate documentation to support the employee’s allegations. Instead of providing the typical doctor’s note or medical documentation, the employee opted for an unconventional response, leaving many perplexed. Some called this unexpected action a “power move,” demonstrating a dramatic reaction to the manager’s demands.

Details of the incident

The employee recounted the incident on a confession page on Reddit. “I was called today because I have hemorrhoids and I can’t stand for a long time. The manager said I needed to send him proof, so I sent him a photo of my backside showing hemorrhoids,” the man said. However, later they thought about the appropriateness of their actions and the possible consequences at work.

“Now that I think about it, I’m not sure if I broke any company rules or laws by sending him the photo. Will I get in trouble with HR or the police if he tells them?” the employee mused in a subsequent post.

Severity of hemorrhoids

This decision to share a photo of their personal space as proof highlights the lengths people will go to prove their health status. Instead of providing standard medical documentation, the employee decided to provide a graphic representation of his problem to illustrate the discomfort associated with hemorrhoids.

Hemorrhoids are characterized by significant swelling or hard lumps around and inside the penis, often leading to painful bowel movements. This condition can seriously impair daily activities, including the ability to stand for long periods of time.
