Ionia school bus tracking app for parents to go live next year

The Ionia Public Schools Board of Education voted Monday to award a three-year contract to BusRight’s bus routing system, which will include real-time parent tracking through a smartphone app.

Facilities Director Mike Avery explained that the district has been using the Versatrans bus routing system since 2008 with good results until recently when the software began to fail.
