Three weeks have passed since his release, but Amaran shows no signs of fatigue. Yes, the film has slowed down a bit, but the steady weekday trend is impressive. Also, there is a trend where massive growth is seen on weekends after good growth on weekdays. This trajectory has given this Sivakarthikean starrer the opportunity to achieve yet another milestone at the global box office.

Amid the big failures of all the Kollywood superstars, Siva surprised everyone with the outcome of his second release this year. After Ayalaan’s failure, his latest biographical drama has surpassed all expectations and recently easily entered the Rs 300 crore club worldwide. Now, before Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 hits the screens, he has an outside chance of achieving another impressive feat.

As per the latest collection update, Amaran has added another 2 crores to take its figure to 196.65 crores net at the Indian box office. Including taxes it amounts to 232.04 crores gross. The film earned money abroad 77.15 crores rough for now. If the collections in India and abroad are added together, the global box office collections will be 309.10 crores gross in 21 days.

From here, Amaran will steadily gain momentum until Pushpa 2 releases on December 5th. So there is an outside chance of reaching the 350 crore mark. If this happens, it will be a big feat for Sivakarthikeyan, but considering the distance of 40.9 crores, it is currently a wait and see scenario.

Distribution of Amaran collections around the world:

  • India network 196.65 crores
  • India gross 232.04 crores
  • Gross value abroad – 77.15 crores
  • World gross 309.10 crores

Meanwhile, the film is directed by Rajkumar Periasamy. It was released in theaters on October 31st. It marked Sivakarthikeyan’s debut performance in 200 and 300 crore clubs worldwide.
