Singer Loomis apologized for using obscene language on air and ruining the anthem

Singer Loomis apologizes for ruining the national anthem and swearing on air. On Wednesday, October 23, the singer performed the Star Spangled Banner at a Free and Equal Elections Foundation debate featuring third-party presidential candidates, but her voice cracked as she played, causing her to stop midway through. “I screwed up, I screwed up. Can I go back please?” she asked before someone off-camera told her it was a live broadcast. She then quickly continued and finished the rest of the song, although she also noted that she was “nervous”. On Saturday, October 26, the artist apologized in a recorded video on Instagram. “First of all, I would like to apologize to the Free and Equal political team for this incident, and from the bottom of my heart I wanted to apologize. And I’m really sorry, I didn’t mean to ruin the national anthem and I wanted to thank you guys for giving me a chance and believing in me,” she said in part.
