Shocking CCTV footage has been released of a woman attacking a two-year-old girl being carried by her mother in a random attack at a busy shopping centre.

The horrific incident happened at the Park Center on the Albany Highway in East Victoria Park in south-east Perth at approximately 1.25pm ​​on Tuesday.

The footage shows a woman with a bleached, shaved head approaching the mother and baby.

Seconds later. she reached out and attacked the girl before her mother quickly moved away.

After this, the woman fled the scene.

The hunt continues for the woman, who is described as having a medium build and wearing a pink tank top, gray shorts with white stripes and blue trainers.
