Tank Bigsby’s forecast for the remainder of the season (2024)

Bigsby tank

TO Andrew Erickson (FantasyPros), Mon Oct 21, 2024 07:45 PM ET

Tank Bigsby dominated on the ground with 26 carries for 118 yards and two touchdowns, averaging 4.5 yards per carry with a long run of 13 yards on a 66% snap share.
Bigsby made 14 rushing attempts into the red zone and converted two for touchdowns. There are no targets in the red zone. According to Next Gen Stats, Bigsby took over as the lead RB against the Patriots, accumulating most of his production on inside tackle runs (91 of his career-high 118 yards).
Bigsby had 7 missed tackles on 26 carries, his second-most missed tackles in a game this season.
D’Ernest Johnson added nine rushes for 38 yards, averaging 4.2 yards per carry with 10 yards rushing. Two rushing attempts and 1 target in the red zone.
D’Ernest Johnson was also involved in the passing game, catching three of his four targets for 32 yards, averaging 10.7 yards per catch on a 26-yard reception. Johnson ran routes on 52% of his tackles. Bigsby was at 33%.
The matchup was designed to combat a poor Patriots defense, and Bigsby took full advantage. But the game script was so ideal for him that I doubt what will happen if the Jaguars have to play from behind in the coming weeks. GB, @PHI, vs MIN and @DET before week 12.
And teammate Travis Etienne Jr. will likely return, creating more chaos and uncertainty in the Jaguars’ backfield. Head coach Doug Pederson has already spoken out about Etienne’s status as the team’s RB1, despite how well Tank has played. Just seems like a situation I’d like to wipe my hands of.
