Brown’s NFL Draft position worsens despite Week 7 loss; Patriots, Panthers, Titans jostling for position

The Cleveland Browns are clearly not where they want to be at the moment and things don’t look like they’re going to get any better. After losing at Ohio State, the Browns are 1-6 and the NFL Draft is the only priority for fans.

For now, coaches and players will talk about how they are getting better, and we appreciate RB. Nick Chubb Coming back, Cleveland is in 15th place in the AFC.

Only 16 teams participate in the conference.

The Browns were expected to have the No. 2 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft last week. With QB Deshaun Watson He’s likely out for the year and the team will likely have a roster spot due to his injury, so selecting a quarterback at the top of the draft is squarely on the table.

After Week 7, Cleveland became one of four teams with just one win this season. Due to the Strength of Schedule (SOS) tiebreaker, the Browns actually dropped to third place this week:

  1. New England Patriots
  2. Carolina Panthers
  3. Cleveland Browns
  4. Tennessee Titans
  5. New York Jets

With two games on Monday Night Football, the SOS could change for a number of teams.

There are 12 teams with two or fewer wins so far this season. As we continue to monitor the Browns’ position in the NFL Draft, it will be interesting to see how many of these teams start playing for the draft rather than trying to get back into playoff contention.
