Business Council of Australia calls for  billion reform fund as housing target slips

States and territories that provide land in sought-after suburbs and reduce development approval times will be rewarded with a $10 billion federal government fund as part of an ambitious housing policy called for by the Business Council of Australia.

It comes as Teal and Liberal MPs stand united against the Victorian government’s move to increase housing density in affluent Melbourne suburbs including Toorak, Armadale, Malvern, Hawthorn, Brighton and Hampton.
