Max Verstappen managed to beat Lewis Hamilton at the British Grand Prix.

The Briton followed the Red Bull driver until the second lap, until the latter had problems with his tires, which began to cry while driving.

Valtteri Bottas then stayed close to Vertappen on lap three, but today was his best day and he managed to win the big race.

“We had a lot of space between the opponents, it was a fantastic day, we always applied pressure and had the right strategy. I tried to put pressure on Mercedes and I succeeded,” Verstappen said.

Hamilton finally congratulated Red Bull and Vertappen on a brilliant race, but made it clear that it was not over.

“Congratulations to Red Bull and Max. They had no problems and this helped them win the race. “I didn’t expect to have problems with the tires today because I was running with half of them until the end,” added Hamilton. /Telegraph/
