Four people injured after ambulance rollover in Brisbane

Four people were taken to Brisbane hospital after a vehicle collided with an ambulance that was responding to a high priority call.

An ambulance was passing through the intersection of Beckett Road and Albany Creek Road in Bridgman Downs at around 7.30am this morning.

The blue SUV collided with the ambulance, which overturned on its side, a Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said.

At the time of the accident, the ambulance was driving with its lights and sirens on.

Emergency Situations Ministry employees promptly arrived at the intersection.

Male and female medics suffered shoulder injuries, and a medical student suffered minor injuries.

There were no patients in the ambulance at the time.

A man in the other car suffered shoulder and knee injuries.

All four were taken to St Andrew’s War Memorial Hospital in a stable condition.
