National Assembly elections: housing announcements expected on Monday

HALIFAX –

Housing looks set to be a top issue among the major parties campaigning in Nova Scotia today.

Progressive Conservative Party leader Tim Houston plans to make a statement on the topic at party headquarters in Halifax this morning.

The NDP, led by Claudia Chander, is also planning an event on housing affordability in the provincial capital.

Liberal leader Zac Churchill is also holding a morning press conference in the city, although it is unclear what the topic will be.

At the time of dissolution, the Progressive Conservatives had 34 seats in the 55-seat legislature, the Liberals 14, the NDP six and one independent.

Election Day in Nova Scotia is November 26th.
