Tadiparru: Four men were electrocuted here on Monday while they were tying a flexible banner around a statue of a social reformer. The incident took place at Tadiparru village in East Godavari district on Monday morning.

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu expressed deep grief over the death of four youths due to electrocution while preparing to unveil the statue of social reformer Sardar Sarvarai Papanna Gowda, an official statement said.


The CM directed officials to provide better treatment to the injured undergoing treatment at Tanuku Hospital in West Godavari district. Naidu announced an ex gratia of Rs 5 lakh to the relatives of the victims.
