Cordarrelle Patterson tries to recruit superstar wide receiver to Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers have been looking to bring in a wide receiver since the offseason, and with the NFL trade deadline falling on Tuesday, November 5th at 4:00 pm ET, general manager Omar Khan is running out of time to bring in someone. .

While the Steelers were in the market for a wide receiver, running back Cordarrelle Patterson was doing his part to help as the veteran quarterback tried to recruit several receivers to the Steelers over the past few months.

And Patterson was back at it again Sunday night when Steelers running back lobbied for Seattle Seahawks star receiver D.K. Metcalf to join Pittsburgh by posting on social media.

Metcalf, who has missed the last two games with a knee injury, has been the subject of trade speculation in recent weeks after looking frustrated on Seattle’s sideline at times this season.

However, a report from NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo on Sunday revealed that the Seahawks have no plans to trade their No. 1 wide receiver before the deadline.

“The Seahawks were hoping he (Metcalf) would be back this week, but he just needs more time.” – he said. “He’ll have a bye week after that, so expect him to be back in Week 11 against the 49ers… and back as a Seahawk! I know there has been a lot of speculation: “Will the Seattle Seahawks trade D.K. Metcalf? I checked with a high-ranking Seahawks source last week. I said, “There’s a lot of chatter, can he be traded?” They answered me in one word… Quote: “No!”

Metcalf would obviously be a dream addition for a Steelers team that desperately needs another option to replace George Pickens, but it doesn’t look like he will be available.
