Explore Starfleet’s long-lost ghost ship in the new Star Trek: Lower Decks comic (exclusive)

Paramount+’s Star Trek: Lower Decks was an absolute success as a riotous look into the lives of the unsung junior crew members of the USS Cerritos, and now that its fifth and final season is airing on the streaming platform, it’s time to explore it. alternative ways to enjoy Boimler, Mariner, Tendi, Rutherford and T’Lin.

As the official publisher of Star Trek comics, IDW Publishing has heard fans’ cries for the loss of their irreverent animated show and will debut a new ongoing comic book series, Star Trek: Lower Decks, written by Ryan North, this month. and illustrated by artist Derek Charm.

The special format features a constantly updated roster of artists and stories for each release, beginning with the November 13, 2024 debut, for which Charm is drawing the original story.

Here’s the official synopsis:

“Following an Eisner nomination for Lower Decks tied with Shax’s Best Day, star duo Ryan North and Derek Charm are launching an all-new ongoing series that is a big fun adventure on a big fun ship… T’Ana Saves team from a dangerous, purple disease that is sure to… Wait, no, everyone recovered pretty quickly.

“Okay… where Deep Space 2’s distress signal is mysteriously interrupted and the crew has to… Wait, no, they just need help resetting their communications systems.

“Okay, so Mariner gets so frustrated with the lack of thrills aboard the Cerritos that he drags his friends into a holodeck adventure that will definitely kill them in real life! Should totally give them all a sense of purpose and well-being, right?

“Or at least it would be. If the USS Bonaventura had not returned from the Delta Triangle and presented them with a real challenge. It’s time to explore the ghost ship, baby!”
