Investigation continues after fatal officer-involved shooting in central Pennsylvania: reports

The Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office is investigating a fatal officer-involved shooting that occurred overnight, according to multiple media reports.

The district attorney said the incident occurred around 1:43 a.m. Sunday when a man showed up at the Northwest Regional Police Headquarters on Elizabethtown Road in Elizabethtown, Lancaster County, with a handgun.

According to abc27, the identity of the victim has not yet been established.

Lancaster County detectives will continue to investigate and District Attorney Heather Adams will determine whether the shooting was justified after the invitation is completed, WGAL reported.
