Yesterday, social media was abuzz with reactions after actress Mehazabien Chowdhury failed to attend the launch of the Khuki Lifestyle showroom in Chattgram.

She was scheduled to open a new store at Reazuddin Bazaar on Station Road on Saturday afternoon. However, due to safety reasons, the actress had to return to Dhaka before the event.

According to reports, traders at Reazuddin Bazaar allegedly threatened the Khuki Lifestyle store, pressuring the owners not to allow the actress to open the store.

Late last night, Mehazabien reassured her fans in a social media post, saying: “I want to thank all my friends, family and fans for checking in on me. I reached Dhaka safely and am now at home, so there is no need for anyone to worry.”

She explained that she had come to Chattogram to attend the opening of the showroom, but on her way from the airport she was informed of potential security issues. For safety reasons, she and the organizers decided to abandon the event and drove back to the airport to return to Dhaka. She expressed gratitude for everyone’s concern.

In response, Imdad Hossain, manager of Khuki Lifestyle, told The Daily Star: “Mehazabien Chowdhury was unable to attend the event due to security reasons. She returned to Dhaka due to inadequate security measures. The inauguration took place without her presence. I have nothing else. add”.
