Kamala Harris will appear on the last episode of SNL before the election, reports

Vice President Kamala Harris will appear on the final episode of SNL before the 2024 presidential election, according to multiple reports.

Saturday evening reporters confirmed that aides to the Democratic candidate said Air Force Two was actually headed to New York rather than stopping in Detroit. Earlier on Saturday, the vice president held a campaign event in Charlotte, North Carolina, before heading north to New York.

According to the Associated Press, at least three people familiar with the situation confirmed the news but said they were not authorized to speak publicly about the appearance on the show.

The NBC show’s website only confirmed that tonight’s guests will include host John Mulaney and musical guest Chappell Rohan.

The New York Times reported that the vice president’s appearance was planned as a surprise. It is unclear when any agreement to participate in the livestream was made.

Former President Donald Trump and current Republican candidate also appeared on the famous long-running American sketch comedy show in 2015, where he delivered the show’s opening monologue eight years earlier.
