The NFL on Saturday imposed a $10,750 fine on San Francisco 49ers linebacker Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles for unnecessary roughness in the 49ers’ win over the Dallas Cowboys last Sunday night. Flannigan-Fowles was penalized for leading with a helmet during the game.

Flannigan-Fowles played 18 special teams snaps against the Cowboys but was still fined for his actions in one of them. According to the NFL’s schedule of violations and fines, improper use of a helmet carries a fine of $22,511. Flannigan-Fowles was likely fined less, as NFL fines cannot exceed 10% of a player’s game check.

The NFL is still considering a fine for 49ers star Nick Bosa, who wore a MAGA hat after Sunday’s win over Dallas, according to other sources. Bosa didn’t wear it to the media meeting after the game, but he did appear wearing it on air when NBC interviewed several of his teammates. During the press session, Bosa was asked about the hat, but he declined to discuss it, saying, “I’m not going to talk about it, but I think it’s an important point.”

If Bosa is fined, it will likely be $11,255, the fine for what the NFL calls “personal communications.” According to Matt Burrows of AthleticThe NFL is not considering suspending Bosa.
