A-Sukh Boss takes a stand on “Chappa Cry”

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Rising dancehall artiste A-Suh Boss is aiming for the dancehall pinnacle with his latest bankable single. Chappa Creeka gem of a song that talks about the hustle mentality that youth need to adopt in order to survive on the mean streets of Jamaica.

Chappa Creek “is an explanation of why youth at a young age are forced to adopt a hustle mentality, living at a fast pace, earning money to fuel their big dreams and create generational wealth,” the artiste, whose real name is Yashoy Anthony Clarke, said.

The single, produced by Monk Music, was released in October and caused quite a stir in music circles. The video will be released on November 25th, coinciding with the release of his EP.

Ah-Soo Boss grew up in the Red Hills and Arnett Gardens communities, splitting his time between his mother’s and father’s residences. As a teenager, he attended Norman Manley High School. Fascinated by music, he first became interested in music under the influence of a friend named New Money, and later joined the young dance group Frasses.

He released his first song Start Fi Walk in 2013.

“This song Start a physical walk That speaks for itself as this was the beginning of my music career and I was just starting to learn the business,” he joked.

After leaving the group, he continued to practice his craft and renamed himself A-Suh, a name given to him by his two-year-old son at the time. The Patois phrase means “this is how.”

“A-Suh is a Patois name, it’s dancehall and represents my Jamaican heritage,” he explained.

He first came into the limelight with the single Deceptionswhich has over 230,000 views on YouTube.

“At that moment I was thinking about the new wave of dance music and how I could bring my own talent and sound to it, and how the concept of Impostures could help in my ascent,” he explained.

A-Suh Boss recently completed his eight-song EP entitled “Renaissance”, which features stellar work from production teams Temple Boss Records, Monk Music and Polo Store Entertainment.

“When we communicate, there is always good chemistry. We’ve finished all the tracks so we’re just putting the finishing touches on it for the November release,” he shared.

The EP will be released on November 23rd on all online platforms. The EP will include songs such as Chappa Creek, Rich life, Road Code, Deceptions And Top Mich.
