Leisure center in Perth offering daycare during school strikes

A Perth activity center is offering a series of “entertaining and educational” days during the school strike.

Willowgate Activity Center helps with childcare for children who are out of school while their parents are at work.

All primary schools across the region are closed due to a pay dispute.

All secondary schools, with the exception of St John’s Academy and Auchterarder Community School, will remain open during the two weeks of strike action planned by Unison.

All activities at Willowgate run from 9am to 3.30pm and cost £35 per child, with the center also offering five free day places.

Days may include a mix of land and water activities and are scheduled from Monday 21 October to Friday 25 October and next Tuesday 29 October to Friday 1 November.

The center is also planning a mini-day for children aged five to seven.

To take part, parents need to contact Willowgate on 01738 637245 or email [email protected].
