Leisure centers close in Stroud and Dursley for maintenance

The district council said the funds will be used to repair brickwork, roofing, trim, doors, floors, air conditioning, lighting and external toilet upgrades at the leisure centre.

As part of the changes, members of the Stroud leisure center will also be able to use The Pulse Dursley.

Angela Gillingham, head of community services, said officers were working hard to provide the best possible service.

“We want recreational services for everyone in our community, and we’ve thought long and hard about what we want to provide,” she said.

“We believe this is an exciting first step towards a completely new proposal for our district.”
