Yellowstone Marathon: Watch Seasons 1 and 2 Online This Weekend

There’s just over a week left until the premiere of the first new episode of Yellowstone in almost two years. Before that happens, here’s how you can stay up to date on everything that’s happened up to this point.

Paramount Network will air a pair of marathons starting today, November 2nd, with Episode 1 at 1:00 pm ET. You can watch back-to-back episodes covering the entire first two seasons today and tomorrow. It will be followed by the second half of the marathon, covering seasons 3, 4 and the first half of 5, which will take place from November 8 to 10.

While Peacock is the exclusive home for on-demand streaming of Yellowstone seasons 1 through 5A, several streaming services carry Paramount Network, giving you access to marathons. These include Philo, FuboTV and DirecTV Stream, all of which offer a free trial for new subscribers.

Philo offers over 70 channels for $28 per month after the free trial ends. You’ll have access to over 70 channels of live and on-demand content. In addition to Paramount Network, you will also have access to popular networks such as AMC, BET, Discovery, Hallmark Channel and The History Channel.

FuboTV offers access to over 100 entertainment, news and sports channels for $79.99 per month. There is currently a special promotion running through the end of the year offering $20 off your first month, bringing the cost down to $59.99. The company also offers DVR services.

DirectTV Stream offers packages starting at 75+ channels for $101.98 per month. You can currently get a discount on your first two months of service, which brings the cost down to $86.98. The service also offers live and on-demand services, as well as several options to add additional channels. It also includes local channels and unlimited DVR.

For those unfamiliar with the series, Yellowstone starred Kevin Costner as family patriarch John Dutton. It chronicles the ongoing exploits of the Dutton family and the conflicts surrounding their Montana cattle ranch, as well as family troubles on the ranch and those who trespass on its boundaries. Although additional seasons were originally planned, Costner’s decision to leave the series to pursue his own projects resulted in a truncated finale. The new show “Madison” will continue the franchise, premiering in 2025.

Is this Season 5, Part 2 or Season 6 of Yellowstone?

A Paramount Network spokesperson confirmed that the remaining new episodes are indeed being considered as Part 2 of the fifth season, rather than as a new, standalone season.

Why isn’t Kevin Costner returning to Yellowstone?

Costner announced in a June 20 Instagram post that he would not be returning to the series after previously saying he wanted to return for subsequent seasons before Sheridan decided to focus on the new upcoming sequel.

The main reason was Costner’s desire to begin his long-running project, Horizon: An American Saga. The first part premiered in Cannes earlier this year. Unfortunately, it received less than stellar reviews and only made $11 million in its opening weekend. It was recently announced that Chapter 2 had been dropped from its August theatrical release. Instead, it will premiere at the Venice Film Festival in September.

What are the Yellowstone prequels and where can you watch them?

Two Yellowstone prequels have aired so far. The first was 1883, which was released in December 2021. The second, “1923,” premiered in December 2022. Both are available to stream exclusively on Paramount+. A third prequel, 1944, was recently announced.

In 1883, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill play the ancestors of the Dutton family, who first moved from Texas to Montana in the years after the Civil War and are the generation responsible for establishing the family ranch.

In 1923, Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren play a new generation of Duttons dealing with the new challenges of the times, including Western expansion, Prohibition, and the economic problems caused by the Great Depression.
