The highest domestic stipend this year was Rs 3.67 lakh per month and Rs 6.75 lakh per month internationally. The top 5 percent of students receive an average monthly stipend of around Rs 3 lakh per month, highlighting the high demand for IIM Kolkata graduates in the competitive job market. However, this year the recruitment process was conducted in a hybrid mode, with over 175 recruiters from various sectors participating. In doing so, opportunities were provided for various cross-functional roles.

The recruitment process involved companies from all major sectors such as FMCG, manufacturing, finance, consulting, technology, analytics, pharmaceuticals and education. The institute’s cluster-cohort approach, as well as special provisions such as the Dream Offer, have improved the interaction of students with recruiters, making the process mutually beneficial for both parties.

According to media reports, Professor Ritu Mehta, the head of the placement process, said that the result of the summer internship demonstrates the student’s willingness to survive in a very difficult atmosphere. Despite the global decline in job demand, recruiters trusted students and their educational practices. They are deeply grateful for this, and as the institute continues to strengthen its ties with industry leaders, the future looks bright for its graduates.
