Will Penn State’s long losing streak against Ohio State end today? Game Day Basics Lviv

The answer to the question is seven.

Seven games.

Penn State has lost its last seven meetings with Ohio State. The Lions last beat the Buckeyes in 2016 at Beaver Stadium in a 24-21 upset victory that was the signature performance of PSU’s Big Ten championship season.

The Lions’ win today could also be seen as an upset, even though Penn State is 7-0 and is 6-1 at home against Ohio State.

Ryan Day’s Buckeyes are slight favorites.

Penn State’s James Franklin views the event as another big game for his program.

“It’s a big game, 1-0,” Franklin said Wednesday after practice.

“Wisconsin had a big game last week. USC was a big game. We understand that this is a big game. We’re focused on finding a way to get the W this week against a really good opponent who’s ranked as high as we are.”

This game, given the opponent and the losing streak, doesn’t look like a typical big game.
