A water main has been repaired after a break cut off part of Woodruff Road.

GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) – Greenville Water said crews will continue to make repairs after a water main broke on a main road Friday morning.

A broken 16-inch main on Woodruff Road near Rocky Slope Road closed the entire eastbound lane and median as crews made repairs, according to the company.

As a result of a water main break around 8 a.m., a crater was formed. Officials said the water main is now repaired after crews spent 14 hours fixing the leak.

Around 7:42 p.m., officials said all valves were open, but the road would remain closed until Saturday when paving began.

Crews are working to repair a water main break that created a sinkhole on Woodruff Road Friday morning.
