Sean “Diddy” Combs may face new sex trafficking charges

NEW YORKA federal grand jury could soon return additional indictments against music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, who already faces multiple charges related to a federal sex trafficking case.

Sources tell FOX 5’s Lisa Evers that the grand jury is hearing new testimony and more charges and defendants could be added in the coming weeks.

Adding a “superseding indictment” would expand the scope of the case and complicate it, according to defense attorney and former prosecutor Eric Faddis.

“What the federal government sometimes does as it continues an investigation is file a subsequent indictment that supersedes the indictment,” Faddis explained. “It typically amends and supersedes the original indictment and adds additional charges.”

Combs’ defense team has pushed for a speedy trial, which is currently scheduled for May 2025. However, Faddis noted that new charges could delay the trial.

“If allegations emerge that add a whole new dimension to this case, which I think is likely, it could result in both sides needing more time to conduct investigations, find more witnesses, (and) obtain additional evidence.” , he said.

The case also includes civil lawsuits in which more than two dozen people allege Combs drugged and sexually abused them. A federal judge ruled this week that a woman known as “Jane Doe” who is filing one such lawsuit must reveal her real name by Nov. 13 or her case will be dismissed.

Combs has categorically denied all criminal and civil charges through his lawyers. The US Attorney’s Office declined to comment on the investigation. However, sources indicate that new charges could be filed soon, potentially leading to additional defendants being added to the case.
