From Marco:

To my fans, friends and the wrestling community,

It is with a heavy but grateful heart that I write this today as I announce my retirement from professional wrestling. This decision was not easy as wrestling has long been the biggest part of my life, filled with moments that have shaped who I am today. It has been an incredible journey, full of passion, sweat, tears and unparalleled joy.

For many years I gave my body to professional wrestling. I’m obviously not the biggest and I used it and I got beat up, but damn did I enjoy it. However, after consulting with my doctor, I was advised to prioritize my long-term health and step away from competing in the ring. Accepting this reality has been one of the hardest moments of my career, but I know it is the right decision.

First of all, I want to express my deepest gratitude to All Elite Wrestling (AEW). Thank you for giving me the opportunity to showcase my abilities and share my passion with fans around the world. The opportunity to perform on national television was a dream I could barely imagine when I first got into this business, and AEW is what made that dream a reality. To everyone involved in AEW, from the production crew to my fellow wrestlers who have become my family, thank you for believing in me and giving me a place to call home.

I also want to thank Brett Lauderdale and Game Changer Wrestling (GCW). Brett, you gave me my start and GCW was the launching pad for my career. It was there that I discovered my voice, learned to embrace my uniqueness, and developed into the person and fighter I am today. You provided me with opportunities that changed the course of my life, and for that I will always be in your debt.

To all the wrestlers I’ve been in the ring with, you know who you are. Each of you has played a role in my journey, teaching me lessons, pushing me to my limits, and sharing unforgettable moments. Whether we fought as opponents or stood together as allies, you all hold a special place in my heart.

Lastly, thank you to the fans who supported me, encouraged me and believed in me at every match and every show. Your energy, chants and unwavering support have inspired me more than you could ever imagine. You are the heart and soul of this industry and without you none of this would be possible.

When I leave the ring, I take with me memories and friendships that will last a lifetime. Even though I’m retiring from competing in the ring, wrestling will always be a part of me. I hope to continue to contribute to this amazing industry in many ways and stay connected with all of you who made this dream a reality.

Thanks for everything.

On October 13, Stunt stated that he did not know how much longer he would have to wrestle due to health reasons.

Stunt has only wrestled a handful of times since 2023. He returned to AEW in July where he would face Jack Perry for the AEW TNT Championship.
