Melbourne shooting: Police seek information after man dies from gunshot wound

A man has died from a gunshot wound in Melbourne as police launched a frantic search for information.

Members of the public found the man with a gunshot wound in Langford Street, North Melbourne, about 3.15am on Saturday.

Paramedics arrived at the scene, but he was soon pronounced dead.

Police confirmed that the man has not yet been identified.

“Police have cordoned off the area and established a crime scene,” they said.

“Officers are still working to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.”

Police are currently searching for the alleged offender and anyone with information, dashcam or CCTV footage is asked to contact Crime Stoppers.
