United White Knight: Ryan White signs long-term contract with Adelaide United

Adelaide United are pleased to announce that 19-year-old South Australian talent Ryan White has committed his future to the Reds on a five-year contract.

Ryan, who made his debut for the club in the round of 16 of the Australian Cup against Blacktown City, became the 209th player to represent Adelaide United.

Coming from South Australia, Ryan’s growth has been nothing short of impressive. He started his football journey with RAA NPLSA club Para Hills Knights, where he showed his potential. He then completed the FSA NTC program before joining Adelaide United’s youth team after another short stint at Para Hills.

In 2024, Ryan scored 10 goals in 23 state top flight matches and also scored five goals in the Reds’ winning campaign in the 2023 RAA NPLSA Championship.

Ryan White expressed his excitement about the long-term commitment, saying:

“It has always been my dream to play for the Reds and I am very happy to commit myself to my boyhood club.

“Adelaide United has a special meaning to me and my family and I can’t wait to continue to work hard and give everything I have for the club,” Ryan said.

Technical director Ernest Faber praised White’s character and development, stating:

“Ryan embodies everything we look for in an Adelaide United player. His work ethic, dedication and attitude both on and off the field are perfectly in line with the Club’s values.

“He grew up in our system and having a player with his DNA and history at the club makes this acquisition even more special.

“We are excited to continue his development as he progresses with us,” Faber concluded.

Ryan’s football journey:

  • Para Hills United SC (under 6 – under 9 years old)
  • Para Hills Knights (under 11 – under 13 years old)
  • Football SA NTC program (under 13–18 years old)
  • Para Hills Knights (under 18 – first team)
  • Adelaide United Youth (Reserves/Seniors)

The club hopes to see Ryan’s continued growth and contribution over the next five years as he cements his place in the senior team.
