“Build crazy buildings without windows”

“Build crazy buildings without windows”

Democrats love wind and wind energy, says GOP presidential candidate Donald Trumpwho likes to blow against the wind, but the Democrats don’t want one thing: windows– says the former president.

Trump said Democrats oppose a lot of things, such as cows, gas stoves, prosperity, democracy, oil drilling, capitalism, fair voting and other things that, contrary to Trump’s claims, remain popular and regular under Democratic administrations.

In the excerpt below from the Las Vegas talk, which was quickly shared. Kamala Harris campaign, Trump added “windows” to his list of things Democrats oppose.

In arguing against this supposed window ban, Trump contrasts it with his apparent love of windows, saying that he is known—as a builder—for his “biggest windows,” which he likes “so big right down to the bottom of the floor.” ” (Trump is talking about Windows, not Arnold Palmer, even if the language is the same.)

Trump says “they want every building in Manhattan to be torn down and buildings built without windows.”

This windowless dystopia of Trump’s imagination—a near future in which New York’s buildings are supposedly less transparent than Trump’s finances—is of grave concern to him.

This is troubling because – in a rare admission that he may have to come up with a Plan B if he loses the election – Trump told the crowd: “I’m going to have to change my whole philosophy if you don’t vote for me, because I’m going I’m building crazy buildings again and I won’t be able to use the windows anymore. No, they don’t actually need windows.”

(NOTE: Trump believes environmentalists want to remove windows, although architecture publication Architect debunked Trump’s fallacy that Democrats oppose windows in a July op-ed, writing: “The part of Trump’s comments that makes even less sense than the ‘tiny windows’ aspect is the idea that to achieve sustainability, we need to start demolition of existing buildings. Construction is one of the most carbon-intensive activities, with the construction and maintenance of buildings accounting for up to 40% of emissions.”
