PHOENIX (AZFamily) “It may seem premature to some, but many Arizonans are ready to say Merry Christmas!”

The Coconino National Forest announced Friday, November 1st that it will begin selling a limited number of Christmas tree permits online, so don’t miss out! Customers will be able to start shopping starting at 8am on November 14th.

Officials say a total of 1,300 permits will be available to the public, with 400 allocated in the Flagstaff Ranger District and 900 in the Mogollon-Rome Ranger District. Once purchased, owners will be allowed to start trimming from November 15th to December 31st.

Before purchasing a permit, customers will need to create an account on Recreation.gov to complete the transaction. Permits will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis until sold out.
