Mark Cuban Apologizes for ‘Intelligence’ Remarks That Angered MAGA Women

Shark Tank Mark Cuban apologized to the MAGA ladies he offended this week when he noted that Donald Trump tends to avoid “strong, smart women” because “they scare him.”

In X’s Friday post, Cuban addressed that sentiment (expressed in an interview View): “It didn’t work out quite the way I thought it would. So I apologize to anyone who felt offended or upset by my response. As I said, this was not about Trump voters, supporters or employees. Current or former.

As the video he shared along with that apology makes clear, the remark came after Cuban was asked why Trump didn’t tap former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley to campaign for him.

Cuban explained his belief that a “silent majority” of women plan to vote for Kamala Harris and that by ignoring Haley’s female base, Trump is leaving ballots on the table. But that’s not how the clip went down with women in Trump’s orbit.

Among those upset was Marjorie Taylor Greene, who posted a response filmed in her garage gym. “Here’s the problem with Mark Cuban: He has low testosterone,” she said after doing a few pull-ups on camera. Cuban, she continued, is simply “terrified of women like me who are strong and smart.”

Honestly, MTG. is exhausted, although I’m not sure that’s the kind of power Cuban had in mind. However, she was far from the only MAGA woman to respond.

“Just when you think Kamala’s camp couldn’t alienate and divide people more than they already have,” Trump’s daughter-in-law Lara Trump wrote on X, “now they are attacking women who support Trump. Great job, Mark.

In his mea culpa, Cuban—himself a former Trump supporter—said he had “set himself up for a 6-second sound bite” and had “no excuses.”

Meanwhile, Trump appeals to women in his own way. At a recent rally, he threatened to protect women “whether they like it or not.” His campaign also released a video in which “the women of Trump headquarters” responded directly to Cuban. “Mark Cuban doesn’t know anything about strong women,” one said. “I could beat you in a fight.”
