The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) has released an application link for Nigerian graduates to apply for the post of Inland Revenue Officers (Officer I and Officer II).

This follows an earlier notification of plans to recruit Tax Officers I and Tax Officers as announced in October.

In a message posted on his X account, the agency spokesperson, FIRS, said that applications will open by 12:00 am on November 2, 2024.

He added that the recruitment will take place in six states including Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu, Imo, Ekiti, Lagos and Oyo.

Part of the statement reads:

Selection criteria

  • Age Limit: Candidates must be 27 years of age or younger by December 31, 2024.
  • Completion of NYSC: Candidates must complete their National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) training no later than December 31, 2021.
  • Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree (or HND) in first class/second year of higher education.
  • Division in any of the following disciplines:
  • Accounting, Actuarial Science, Business Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Computer
  • Programming, Computer Science, Digital/Email Marketing, Economics, Engineering, Finance
  • Management, Graphics, Graphic Design, Law, Management/Business Administration, Market Research, Mathematics, Statistics, Taxation, Fine Arts
  • Note. Relevant Master’s degrees and professional affiliations (e.g. ICAN, ACCA, ANAN, COREN, NSE, etc.) will be an added advantage.

Interested candidates should submit their applications through the official FIRS recruitment portal: www.firs.gov.ng/careers.

Police open recruitment portal

Previously, legit.ng has reported that the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has announced the opening of its recruitment portal for 2023 applicants for General Service Officer positions.

According to a police tweet, the online application portal for the 2023 recruitment has been made available for interested and qualified Nigerians to enlist in the Nigeria Police Force as Police Constable (Recruits).
